My husband had 2 rental properties and the tenants were to pay their own utilities. Well when the tenants moved out PSEG forwarded the tenants unpaid bills onto our home bill.

For 18 months I tried to clear this matter up. I was told to fax leases and Deeds over 15times to 15 different pseg employees who al said they would take care of this .. THEY NEVER DID!! OUR PSEG BILL WAS OVER 8,000.

It was hard enough keeping up w/ the bills b/c I was let go and collecting unemployment and he worked for Home Depot. PSEG kept coming and turning our electric off over and over again. I would call and complain then someone would come sometimes 3 days later to turn us back on and apologize.. APOLOGIZE !!!

FIX MY BILL !! THEY NEVER DID. My husband had no choice but to go BANKRUPT! ..

Now with a new account starting fresh with a zero balance .. PSEG put a $750.00 security deposit slapped onto our account . Needless to say We are behind in our bill only because of this security deposit .. They have turned me off 2 times already.

WHO THE *** DO THEY THINK THEY ARE? THEY NEED MUCH MUCH MORE REGULATING BY THE GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE COLD , INHUMAN, & VERY NASTY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE QUICKLY .

BY THE WAY I AM GETTING SOLAR.!! *** PSEG.

Monetary Loss: $3.

PSE&G is one of the biggest cheats I have ever dealt with. Exactly a year back I got a part time job in jersey city.

When I moved here and started PSE&G electric and gas service, they charged me $180 for deposit. When I asked them the reason, they said I only work part-time and not full-time hence I have to pay a security deposit. That was the most weirdest thing I had heard. I still paid it because there was no other option.

A couple of months back, I missed a payment just by 2 days, as I was on a vacation with my family and didnt remember to pay the bill. They charged me $10 that time and I still paid it. Now that I am finished with my job and moving back with my parents I want to cancel the service and get the deposit back. But now they r saying we cannot give the deposit back because I missed one payment.

Biggest crooks ever.

Is there a way to fight for this and get the money back. If anyone knows anything, please let me know.

They did almost the same thing to me and i have paid them over 8,000 and still they keep shutting me off. This time they shut me for 5 days which included through a weekend.

I file complaints with board of public utilities that also don't know their *** from *** in the wall. I feel like im a criminal they do not fix my account and still getting lots of money out of me.. They are rude nasty unhelpful.

Who do you go to to fight pseg, this is crazy. I cannot live like this i constantly pay pseg and all my other bills get behind and yet not one has fixed r figuered out my problem.

we are also paying a deposit for our new home , we were GOOD customers for 23 years paying rent on time and never late to pse&g . Now some *** in north jersey says I got bad credit ...wonder if he bought his first house or still lives with gramma sad world ... Us in CAMDEN COUNTY must pay for all the beautiful SOLAR PANELS on each light pole , So I guess the deposit is for Gloucester County now

I paid my bill from my online account $154.23 to PSE&G they paid someone else's account. I called Customer Service and had to deal with some nasty lady named Melinda.

After a few days I called PSE&G because the issue had not been corrected. Melinda advised we need proof you paid so I send her my statement showing the withdrawn $154.23. I never heard back, I called her again she got my statement and started yelling at me that I needed the acct where the payment had been posted to! I called Chase and they were nice enough to research and find what acct the payment was sent.

I called back now I got some dummy named Yolanda, she says "OH NO! we need the other account's owner on the line!" This *** wanted me to go searching for someone I didn't even know! I hung up I called back got some guy named Dave...this time I asked for a supervisor once again..Supervisor gets on the line. I give him the PSEG account where the money went to and ask for help.

He says "That account does not exist." I called Chase again and they are able to provide me with an activity receipt showing all the information. I call back and now I got a Mr. Patterson, who I can tell from the tone of his voice thought this was some kind of joke. He tells "Well, the other client may have a problem with us taking money out of his account." I say "I don't care that is my money you guys erroneoulsy put in another account.

Please correct this." He asks me to fax him my receipt all the info I have he says "Well, I have to review this with my supervisor (the same dummy who told me the account does not exist) and if I can't get back to you today then if I can tommorrow.

I understand PSEG is a monopoly but is it legal for them to treat people this way? Especially when we are paying them?

Experiencing the exact same thing. I made a payment online but it was never applied to my account. I have faxed them four times with proof of payment and it is still not fixed. Over two months have passed since I originally made the payment, and still not applied to my account. Each time I can I have been passed from person to person, and each time I am asked to fax proof, which at least one of them has admitted to receiving and noted that they account would be fixed in 2-3 days...that was over a month ago. And now the latest representative is telling me he cannot read the fax. What happen to the other three faxes that I have sent.

In order to speak with the same representative I have to wait 15+ minutes to speak to a rep so that they can transfer me to the person I originally talked to...this is nonsense.

I don't understand how they can take funds from an account, but never apply it to the appropriate person's account. Furthermore, fax - seriously? How does a company in this day and age not have a method of emailing this information? Or at the least direct lines to speak with the same person more than once.
