My cable guy said there were too many Amps in my cable wires. I had to call PSE&G to fix the problem.
PSE&G came and stated the cable guy didn't know what he was talking about, before checking for himself. When he did check the line, the said there was a "big" problem. The left and came back with a big box, and took me off line. 8 days later a repair crew came.
Three trucks. After I explained what I was told, the repair man said, there is absolutely nothing wrong.
He hooked up the meter, and is now on a 2 hour and counting break. Now I know why my rates are so high.

Although I make payments on the boiler repair account This time they refused to send someone out
The thermo culp already had been replaced two months ago and the pilot light was working but the flame would not work
Tonight the same problem pilot light working but the flame will not so I called PSEG and the young lady said no one will be out because I owe on the Boiler account I said I make payments let me speak to your supervisor again she unprofessionally said Ms you owe money and you wont have any heat until Sunday her name is Shamisha when asked for other Jnformation she loudly said and I'm the only one work at PSEG with that name
My PSEG account is good but the boiler account still has a balance that I pay on but I can't get heat and the city of Newark says call if no heat , I am a senior, watching gran , the pipes may burst and who is to pay for those damaged when I have reached out for help . I can not leave the home because they may come between 8a to 12noon on tomorrow which is Sunday but my grand are previous to suffer so will pack them tonight to take them out
The young lady at PSEG was rude because I still owe money on a boiler bill but I pay my regular bill and pay on the boiler bill
Note she is the wrong person to handle calls she needs customer service training

worst customer service ever, i called to reinstate service on my house and the representative who picked up the phone, Pam, at extension 2041 treat me like sh.., like if I were nothing, can not believe you have people like this woman working there, good luck to the next person who has to talk to her. I called to see when service would be reinstated after paying and at one point, she asked me to shut up, and also mentioned that maybe I paid with a check without funds, who this person think she is????, you can not treat people like this. worst Customer Service ever.
Setting up an account is an absolute nightmare. Nobody knows what you should be doing. Everybody tells you a different thing. Completely useless.
So I called PSEG to set up my electric and gas. Once I give them all my basic info plus social security number the lady I talked to tells me that my social security number can't be verified and I have to go into a customer service center in order to prove my identity. What???? That makes no sense. Nobody else has had an issue with verifying my social security number. When I tell her I don't currently live in state and that would be impossible she tells me to fax my social security card in. I tell her no and ask to speak with her supervisor.
Her supervisor is possibly worse. I ask her about why my social security number can't be verified and she acts like I'm some sort of ***. I tell her that the representative I was speaking to previously had told me that she couldn't verify my social security number. Then she still keeps talking to me like I'm *** and am making this all up. She tells me that I have to come in and prove my identity in person because I'm moving from out of state. Obviously that makes so much sense because as an out of state person I can totally head over to my local PSEG service center and provide my identification information. I ask if I can fax the information in. She says no and to go to a customer service center and then quickly tries to end the call. So I just give up and let her go.
Then I realize that I have no idea what information I will need to bring to the customer service center (which I am being forced to now go locate and visit immediately after I leave the airport) so I have to call back again. The wait time is horrendous. This is obviously a company that doesn't want to talk with its customers. Finally I get a third lady on the line who is somewhat helpful and gives me the info I need. I remembered that the second lady had mentioned a security deposit that I would have to pay at the customer service center so I ask about that. This lady seems confused and says there is no way for anybody to know what my security deposit will be until my account is activated. So I'm fairly convinced that the first two people were pulling *** out of their *** for answers to my questions. Telling a customer that their SS# is not able to be verified and that they have to fax it in when they don't actually have to is a dumb and dangerous error on their part.
Overall I am not looking forward to dealing with this company for the next 5+ years but it seems that the devil has a monopoly on the state of New Jersey and its name is PSEG.

PSE&G came back the next day in force. The main guy said that if anyone complains on Facebook, they get right on it.
The new crew worked right away, and found the problem and fixed it. Thanks for your help.
