I tried to pay my bill today. It was the worst experience of my life. I was on hold for 2 hours, finally get someone and they tell me I have to call another number to pay then call them back. I almost started crying because now I have to wait up to another 2 hours again to give them a confirmation number. This is the worst service in the country. They are very unprofessional and rude and know you're at their mercy so it doesn't matter if you get mad because they will just hang up on you and they know you'll be waiting for a long time when you call back and by that time you'll already be so exhausted from being pissed, you almost become the nicest person on earth and almost beg to pay your bill.......

My cable guy said there were too many Amps in my cable wires. I had to call PSE&G to fix the problem.

PSE&G came and stated the cable guy didn't know what he was talking about, before checking for himself. When he did check the line, the said there was a "big" problem. The left and came back with a big box, and took me off line. 8 days later a repair crew came.

Three trucks. After I explained what I was told, the repair man said, there is absolutely nothing wrong.

He hooked up the meter, and is now on a 2 hour and counting break. Now I know why my rates are so high.

PSE&G came back the next day in force. The main guy said that if anyone complains on Facebook, they get right on it.

The new crew worked right away, and found the problem and fixed it. Thanks for your help.

Doesn't matter what you call them for, I have never spoken to a customer representative who was even remotely courteous! They are extremely rude and uncaring people who work for that company! They need to teach them how to speak with a person at the next staff meeting! Wish there was another option for us as far as a service provider but unfortunately we are stuck with them and at their mercy! Very unhappy customer here!!!

Although I make payments on the boiler repair account This time they refused to send someone out

The thermo culp already had been replaced two months ago and the pilot light was working but the flame would not work

Tonight the same problem pilot light working but the flame will not so I called PSEG and the young lady said no one will be out because I owe on the Boiler account I said I make payments let me speak to your supervisor again she unprofessionally said Ms you owe money and you wont have any heat until Sunday her name is Shamisha when asked for other Jnformation she loudly said and I'm the only one work at PSEG with that name

My PSEG account is good but the boiler account still has a balance that I pay on but I can't get heat and the city of Newark says call if no heat , I am a senior, watching gran , the pipes may burst and who is to pay for those damaged when I have reached out for help . I can not leave the home because they may come between 8a to 12noon on tomorrow which is Sunday but my grand are previous to suffer so will pack them tonight to take them out

The young lady at PSEG was rude because I still owe money on a boiler bill but I pay my regular bill and pay on the boiler bill

Note she is the wrong person to handle calls she needs customer service training

Complaint to be brought to the attention of the Mayor/Shame on you /councilman

I can't believe this stuff goes on in today's day and age. Rented a commercial property. Call up PSE&G and they told me I needed to goto a customer service center just bring tax Id number and picture id. On the way I call to check hours and they tell me I need a copy of my lease. Come back with it and the lady hands me a paper showing other things i needed. I explain to her what I was told on the phone and she screams at me "then you get no service." Place is worse then the dmv. Come back next day and the guy there sets me up for 12-4 2 business days later. I call up at 10 to confirm appointment and she verifies the time and when I ask for a call from the technician when he's on the way the rep says "nah he just show up". Ok fine. Wait all day the guy never shows. I call throughout the day to see where the tech is and I get 3 different answers from 3 different customer service reps. Finally I get a supervisor after calling and calling who tells me that the rep at the customer service center never entered a time for the appointment and acts like its my fault even though she says "I ain't said it was yo fault" but offers no apology and after begging her tells me that she can have a tech out to me between current time which was 2pm and midnight. I am still waiting for this tech. Shame on you PSE&G hire some capable workers that aren't fresh off the corner. This shouldn't be allowed to go on. This is people's electric and heat we are talking about not a few rocks. And this was for

I Called to have tenant's furnace repaired. I explained to the tech and to customer service that I was the landlord and the bill should come to me. I was told it would, and lo and behold the bill went to the tenant. Not only is it not the tenant's business what I spent, but now this is another call I will have to make to PSE&G. This is unnecessary and people should know how to do their jobs. As for the service itself, even that was confused, although the tech was good and fixed the problem. I do feel, though, that if I had called a plumber it would have been simpler and probably cheaper. I'm sure I wouldn't have the aggravation over a bill at least.

It is unfair completely unfair I have been receiving a bill amounting $100 dollars every month since last year July when I move to a different home I made sure I pay all the dues but on July this year I received a new bill that is too much a lot. It was $2300 when I asked what is the amount for. They said they have never read the Meter they only estimate. I wanted to take a legal law because I am sure it was a huge amount of money that was misplaced on my account but my mom advised and told me the amount of money can be paid and no need of taking a legal course instead pray for those people who misuse public funds by stealing from us. I never hesitated instead I started paying in only October I paid that I made my last payment 10/30/2015 $800 and that left me with $1302.88 after one week I was send an email at a night of 11/04/2015 telling me that they need the money in full or else the disconnect on the next day morning. At 11:26 AM on 11/05/2015 my bell was rang and the person outside was a man from corrections department who came in to disconnect. I with him agreed that he was to go and come back when I have called the collections department but unfortunately he disconnected electricity. It is painful and I can't stand it now the step my mom told me no can't wait I have to move forward and take a look who the bills was for because I came in and electricity, gas and everything was running My children need it (electricity) that is why I decided to pay the huge amount

Repair furnace

They have poor customer service, currently paying off a repair for a very old furnace. They refuse to come out and look at for a different repair until the first repair is paid off. Will not even give quote for new furnace over phone, said have to come out and see. Will not even come over to give just a quote. Which means no heat for the winter. Wish I can change to different power company, would if I could. Got quote from independent contractor they have a good price. Trying to see if PSEG is in same price neighborhood, and of course they will not give any information over phone.

At 2pm ,august 18 2015 pseg shot off my power 3 kids in the house 8,6 and 4 months old Outside temperature 95°F !!!! On July 1, 2015 we had a PSE&G rep out to look at our furnace for a replacement. We agreed upon this and scheduled it with Pat in your service department at (732)220-****. We were told that we had an install date of 7/8/15 between 8am-12pm. You probably already know how the rest of the story goes. It was NEVER scheduled. I took a day off from work to make sure that I was here, and when we call back Pat he says that he's never heard from us. We have a condensation line that has been leaking from our AC Unit to the furnace and that was supposed to be taken care of as well. We already sucked it up and have been laying down towels every few hours for a week. NOW you can't get out here until next week. Because of the inability of PSE&G to perform service delivery when promised, we have to spend another week of sitting through this? What do you have to say about that? What is going to be done? Now I have to put in for another vacation day so they can hopefully be serious about the next time that they say that they are coming out!!!

Reconection of service, collection department

worst customer service ever, i called to reinstate service on my house and the representative who picked up the phone, Pam, at extension 2041 treat me like sh.., like if I were nothing, can not believe you have people like this woman working there, good luck to the next person who has to talk to her. I called to see when service would be reinstated after paying and at one point, she asked me to shut up, and also mentioned that maybe I paid with a check without funds, who this person think she is????, you can not treat people like this. worst Customer Service ever.

Setting up an account is an absolute nightmare. Nobody knows what you should be doing. Everybody tells you a different thing. Completely useless.

So I called PSEG to set up my electric and gas. Once I give them all my basic info plus social security number the lady I talked to tells me that my social security number can't be verified and I have to go into a customer service center in order to prove my identity. What???? That makes no sense. Nobody else has had an issue with verifying my social security number. When I tell her I don't currently live in state and that would be impossible she tells me to fax my social security card in. I tell her no and ask to speak with her supervisor.

Her supervisor is possibly worse. I ask her about why my social security number can't be verified and she acts like I'm some sort of ***. I tell her that the representative I was speaking to previously had told me that she couldn't verify my social security number. Then she still keeps talking to me like I'm *** and am making this all up. She tells me that I have to come in and prove my identity in person because I'm moving from out of state. Obviously that makes so much sense because as an out of state person I can totally head over to my local PSEG service center and provide my identification information. I ask if I can fax the information in. She says no and to go to a customer service center and then quickly tries to end the call. So I just give up and let her go.

Then I realize that I have no idea what information I will need to bring to the customer service center (which I am being forced to now go locate and visit immediately after I leave the airport) so I have to call back again. The wait time is horrendous. This is obviously a company that doesn't want to talk with its customers. Finally I get a third lady on the line who is somewhat helpful and gives me the info I need. I remembered that the second lady had mentioned a security deposit that I would have to pay at the customer service center so I ask about that. This lady seems confused and says there is no way for anybody to know what my security deposit will be until my account is activated. So I'm fairly convinced that the first two people were pulling *** out of their *** for answers to my questions. Telling a customer that their SS# is not able to be verified and that they have to fax it in when they don't actually have to is a dumb and dangerous error on their part.

Overall I am not looking forward to dealing with this company for the next 5+ years but it seems that the devil has a monopoly on the state of New Jersey and its name is PSEG.

Its good to a MONOPOLY that answers to no one. Their idea of customer service is to avoid contact with customers, but if a consumer should actually wait the hour for a csr to pick up a call then they NEVER give an honest or correct answer. If you then call back and wait to speak to a csr afterbeing disappointed then you will get DIFFERENT information!!! I wish my business could treat its customers this way and be able to act with impunity...and raie rates!
